ETS Carbon price already reflected in 2010 electricity futures & record volumes in 2010 electricity futures and options
Trading in 2010 electricity futures and options contracts has traded record volumes since July 2008 as energy market participants hedge uncertainty associated with the upcoming Emissions Trading Scheme. Furthermore, electricity futures prices across 2010 and 2011 already reflect prices for carbon emissions even before the ETS scheme commences.
